Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the phenotypic variation in quality characteristics of milk from buffalo breed Bulgarian Murrah with different genotypes of CSN3. In our study we include a total of 248 animals from Bulgarian Murrah buffalo breed grown in three farms in Bulgaria. We established a different trend of phenotypic variation of the trait % fatty substances in the studied farms. With the highest value is the sign fat contained in milk at genotype BB (7.59%) in farm 2, and with the lowest (5.69%) is in farm 1. The highest values of the trait % proteins were determined at genotype BB (5.69%) and (5.6%) in farms 1 and 2.
