K. Krastev, M. Mihailova - Toneva
Abstract: The Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (EU), established in 1962, is the first fully integrated Community policy, which helped to establish the Single European Market. During its more than fifty years’ history this policy has undergone considerable evolution. The purpose of this article is to consider in details the environmental trends in the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU during the period 2014–2020 and to indicate the measures that the EU is taking to reduce the harmful effects of climate change, biodiversity loss, irrational use and pollution of natural resources (water, air, soil), as well as the depletion of fossil fuels.
