Резюме: This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the achievements of animal science, conducted by the created on Higher Institute of Zootechnics and Veterinary Medicine (VIZVM) research sector (NIS) as well as informative and historical to elucidate its role as a proto-form of modern consulting activity in the direction of livestock and veterinary medicine for the period of his active life. For the purpose of the study were examined government documents, reports, reports of NIS, rules for organizing its activities, contracts for financing the activities of NIS from agencies, businesses, and others for the period 1975-1998. The interviews were conducted with senior managers and financial responsibility of the scientific department at the institute. For the period of its active existence NIS in VIZVM becomes advanced research and production unit, the specific activity of which is associated with immediate innovatory process of scientific achievements in the production practices of the livestock sector. With that help that NIS in VIZVM provide to livestock production on solving specific industrial and technological problems, it is appears first proto-form of contemporary extension service in the fields of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine in the country.
