BODY LENGTH AND BODY WEIGHT RATIO CHARACTERISTICS OF ONESUMMER OLD SANDER (SANDER LUCIOPERCA L.), REARED IN POLYCULTURE
T. Hubenova, A. Zaikov, M. Gevezova, G. Rusenov
Abstract: In the present research length and weight characteristics of 100 individuals of one-summer-old sander were investigated. They were reared in earth pond in polyculture with carp and fed on natural food. In the particular conditions of the experiment sander reached an average weight of 59.65 ± 18.22 g with an average body length of 19.36 ± 2.16 cm.
Regardless of the same growing conditions, size-weight characteristics show a relatively large variation in respect to weight (Cv = 30.55%) and substantially less in length (Cv= 11.17%), regardless of the same growing conditions. Average values of the condition factor for individual weight groups did not differ significantly and are within the range of 1:25 to 1:48.
