TOLERANCE OF BROILER CHICKENS TO FLORFENIL 10 SOLUTION (SUDAHIM) TREATED ORALLY

Abstract: In the trial are used 90 broiler-chickens 30-days old and 1kg average b. w. The birds from the experimental group (n - 30) are treated orally with Florfenil 10% - solution (Sudahim) at a dose of 40 mg florfenicol /kg b. w. / day (2 times of the recommended therapeutic concentration) for 5 consecutive days. The birds in the control group (n-60) are not treated with anything drugs. Five days before and 7 days after the last treatment with Florfenil – 10% was recorded body weight of the chickens. The two groups were housed and fed at the same technological parameters. The clinical condition of birds is accounted every days. All birds in the experimental group are remained in good clinical condition. There are no reported signs of anorexia, diarrhea, disorders of the respiratory and motor systems, and other side reactions, caused by the treatment with Florfenil – 10%. In the control group are registered outbreaks of infection associated of necrotic enteritis and coccidiosis, are dead 3 numbers (5%) of broilers and was obtained lower growth with 0.224 kg of a bird.
