PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF EXTERNAL IMPART OF THE BEE-QUEENS

Abstract: Described is untested so far method to impart of the fertilized bee-queens, characterized in that, the imparting bee-queen is placed outside the bee nest, as toward her are attracting mostly young bees, to carry with her food contacts, to release her from the cage, to form a temporary foster micro-nest and to accompany her subsequently to the actual bee nest.
The method is realized by opening an additional inactive entrance to the bee’s nest with attracting the bees with attractants: natural maternally derived pheromones and food lure, and part of the honey¬comb.
Presented is and a variant of the method, with of forming a temporary foster micro- bee-nest, in itself hive, designed for implementation at the beginning and end of the active season.
The tests show high percentage of acceptance, reduced number of manipulations and reduced time for his implementation.
