Influence of hormonal stimulation with Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin and breed on reproductive and productive parameters in multiparous Californian and White New Zealand rabbit does
Krasimir Velikov, Ivona Dimitrova
Abstract: The present study was conducted in experimental rabbit farm of the Institute of Animal Science –
Kostinbrod to establish the influence of hormonal stimulation with PMSG (Pregnant Mare Serum
Gonadotropin) and breed on receptivity, conception rate, percentage of kindling does, number, weight and individual weight of total born and born alive kits. The factor “breed” influences receptivity and percentage of kindling does and affects the weight of total born kits. The hormonal stimulation increases fertility rate, decreases individual weight of total born and born alive kits. In White New Zealand rabbit does the hormonal stimulation increases the number of born alive.
