Todor Tzonev, Dimtar Dimitrov, Georgi Anev, Zhivko Nakev
Abstract: As a result of the research it was found that the average daily growth intensity of fine-fleeced lambs is 274 g. The expense of Feed Units for 1 kg increase in live weight was 3.883 units, for Feed Unites for Growth - 4.487 units, for Raw protein - 648 g and for Protein digestible in intestine - 411 g. Carcass yield was 51.30% and the weight of skin - 17.38% of live weight. It was determined that the meat content in the carcass of lambs was 62.77 % of the total carcass weight, bones content - 22.07 % and fats content - 15.16 %. It was also found that the water content, weight loss at boiling and color of meat had higher values than those of adult sheep (Р<0.05; Р<0.01 and Р<0.001).
