TIMING AND NORMALIZATION OF SHEEP BREEDING ACTIVITIES

Резюме: Timing of continuity and calculation of norms of different sheep breeding activities were performed in this study. Timing of different breeding activities was carrying through herds whose owners are members of breeding organization of Maritza sheep. Identification of one animal (ewe or lamb) for breeding purposes last 3.59 min, daily milk recording - 1.10 min per ewe, data transfer from flock book into the main breeding book – 0.62 min per ewe. Continuity of data input from breeding book to information system for the management of population also were measured. Sheep breeding activities are related with direct and indirect activities that required human labor. Indirect activities are inherent to direct and they cannot be avoided. To make a direct and indirect breeding activities in the field of sheep breeding per year for one ewe with dual purpose 59.24 man-minutes and 26.84 man-minutes are necessary. Performing sheep breeding activities with dual purpose (milk and milk) 218.38 man-days (approximately one year appointed specialist) are necessary for serving 1000 ewes and 300 breeding lambs in nucleus flocks.
